Dentistry is the perfect career choice for me as it combines science with art, I also get to meet a lot of interesting people! I strongly believe in two key principles in life - kindness and knowledge and the ethos of Surrey Dental Surgery is based on them.

I completed my BDS in 2002, graduating with distinction from the acclaimed Manipal Academy of Higher Education, where I was awarded the Gold Medal for Oral Pathology and Microbiology. I then took a further Statutory Exam in 2004 to register with the General Dental Council.

Whilst enrolled on a Masters in Clinical Dentistry for Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the prestigious King’s College in London in 2007, I realised how the field of aesthetic dentistry was transforming and radical advancements were and are occurring every day. I am a firm believer in the value of continued education and attend several advanced postgraduate training courses every year.  This allows me to offer my patients the best treatment options available and carry them out with empathy and skill.

My main areas of interest are adult orthodontics, composite bonding and veneers. I am also trained to Level 7 in wrinkle softening and facial fillers. I also carry out all forms of general dental surgery and particularly enjoy treating children. My other interests include travelling, writing and reading.

Involving you in your treatment plan and ensuring you understand is important to me, I encourage my patients to ask as many questions as you need to.

I qualified from Cardiff University in 2000. During university, I received a Merit Commendation for my Elective Report.

I am a highly skilled dental practitioner with over 16 years’ experience and have done several post-graduate courses with a special interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Previously I was also a Lance Corporal for St Johns Ambulance.

I am gentle, I have a sense of humour and I build rapport with everyone to reassure and relax my patients, as I want them to have the best dental experience.

One of my greatest and rewarding achievements in dentistry was to work with a charity to help and treat vulnerable children of Chernobyl.

In my spare time I play tennis, watch football especially Liverpool, I have an interest in cooking, and spending time with my cat Marmalade.

DR STEPHANIE MARIE DIXON (BSC)(BDS)

Stephanie is a qualified Dentist who has two science based degree both is Medical sciences, BSc and Dentistry, BDS. She is also trained in Facial Aesthetics and has been building extensive knowledge in non surgical treatments with her focus always being able to provide the safest and effective procedures with natural looking results. She completed her training with the award winning academy on Harley street and provides treatments including fillers, anti wrinkle treatments, skincare chemical peels and profhilo. Stephanie is passionate about looking after her patients and ensuring they have a relaxing and comfortable experience.

DR GERARD BALAGUE

Dr Gerard Balague graduated as a dentist from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Spain) in 2005 after which Gerard worked in an NHS and private practice in Wales. In 2007 Gerard concentrated on obtaining a post-graduate certificate in Implantology from Warwick University. After obtaining his certificate Gerard worked in London for 2 1/2 years in a general dental practice, concentrating on Periodontics and implantology. Gerard moved back to Spain to start a full time 3 year Masters in

Implantology: Oral Surgery, Prosthetics and Periodontics. During this time Gerard also completed a post-graduate certificate in forensic dentistry and a Master’s degree of basic research in Dentistry and Biomedicine. Gerard is currently working as a clinical teacher at King’s College Hospital where he finalised a Master of Arts in Clinical Education in 2017 at the same institution. Since then, Gerard has becomes so passionate about teaching that has started a PHD in Spain in 2019. Gerard´s main current interests in dentistry are the treatment of gum disease as well as placing dental implants where missing teeth are to restore the dentition.

DR MARTA SUAREZ

Marta obtained her Bachelor degree in dentistry from the international University of Catalonia(Barcelona) in 2005. In 2007, she also completed an MSc in Endodontics after two years post-graduate study in Barcelona. Marta’s treatment is purely limited to Endodontics (root canal treatment) and invests all her time and education in this area, regularly attending and speaking at national and international congresses. Marta has been accepting referrals from other dentists for many years and is well known and respected in London and the surrounding area.

DR FAHAD JAMIL
BDS (HONS), MFDS RCS (ED), AKC, PG DIP

Fahad qualified with honours in 2012 from King’s College London with multiple prizes, including the prestigious Newland Pedley medal for graduating top of his year. Since qualifying, Fahad developed a particular interest in oral surgery having worked in multiple well renowned maxillofacial surgery departments across London and South England. During this time he gained his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery as well as completing a postgraduate diploma with distinction.

Fahad is a member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons (BAOS) and the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD). He currently works as a part-time hospital speciality dentist in oral surgery and is a visiting oral surgery dentist in several dental practices.

Outside of dentistry, he is a keen traveller and photographer and has a particular interest in immersing himself in different cultures.

Dr Andrew Osafo

Dr Andrew Osafo qualified as a dentist from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Dental School in 2003.

''I am a great believer in providing the best quality care. I believe in delivering the type of care I would expect for myself of my family; that's why I attend post-graduate courses regularly to maintain and update my skills. My aim will always be to deliver pain-free treatments, in a comfortable, warm and friendly environment.''

Personal education is very important to him and he regularly attends courses to increase his knowledge and skills and undertook a year-long course at the Eastman to enhance his clinical skills. Andrew has a special interest in treating anxious patients, and obtaining the Diploma of Conscious Sedation has allowed Andrew to provide care for anxious patients, set up sedation services and mentor colleagues in sedation.

ALEJANDRA LUCIA MONROY RODRIGUEZ

Alejandra is qualified in Spain and currently undergoing her Adaptation Period to register with the GDC.

PriyaManasa Venkatasubramanian
Practice MANAGER

As a Practice Manager, Manasa finds herself actively involved in all roles at the practice, clinical and administrative. She has a keen interest in ensuring that the team delivers excellent care and patients have a pleasant journey through the practice.

Manasa qualified as a dentist in India in 2017. She has a Masters degree in Translational Oncology from the University of Sheffield, where she graduated with distinction. She is currently working towards a registration with the General Dental Council as a Dental Therapist and Hygienist.

Apart from work Manasa is passionate about cooking, enjoys music and loves a good book.

Luigi
Trainee Dental Nurse

Luigi joined the team in September 2021 and is working his way to attaining his Dental Nursing Diploma. Luigi gains the most satisfaction from his role when the patient has a good experience and is happy with the treatment received.

When not at work, Luigi likes to stay fit by going to the gym. He is also a keen amateur photographer.
